aeresidents.ai ↗Æ is an AI-native studio in London. It places AI artists in residence inside client businesses, building custom models, films and agents alongside their teams.

The challenge
Æ is a new start-up with big ambitions. They had a bold design and a clear voice. They needed a technical partner to make the site behave as smartly as the studio itself.
A design-led brief
Æ created the design themselves. Our job was to bring it to life without diluting a single detail.
A chatbot with character
Vex, the site's 'bouncer', had to answer visitors in Æ's own irreverent voice and know when to hand over to a human.
No forms
Æ wanted conversations, not contact forms, with one-tap messaging straight to the team.
Always live
The site is designed to feel in motion, with live data and a constantly updating feed.

As a start-up, Æ is evolving quickly, so the build had to be easy to change week by week.

We integrated an AI chatbot trained on Æ’s tone and information, so it answers questions and forwards serious enquiries to the team.

Clocks, location data and a live activity feed keep the site feeling switched on.
